The SND roster just keeps on growing with the debut release from Vicsid. Disjoint consists of eight devastating electronic compositions that are deliberately programmed to excite the listener with the unexpected.
Rhythms, textures and melodies appear from nowhere and disappear into obscurity, making a unique body of work that demands repeat listening.

30/03/07 - 4TH RELEASE AVAILABLE NOW + MUSIC VIDEO
SND04 is now available for free download and there's even a video for one of the tracks! Old Strikes New, the guy who rocked the SND podcast last year with his 2 Up 4 Across mix, delivers some extremely high-quality music by joining the dots between improv jazz, hip-hop and electronica.
Check out the video for As The Body Remains, it's a bit good.
30/01/07 - NEW ELECTRONICA EP + PODCAST FROM UNICIDE
After a long break, SND return to the fold with a new release from Birmingham electro-bod Unicide. His debut EP, entitled Cupboard, is a thouroughly British affair that combines dark, glitchy ambience with intricate beatscapes and queues from classic sci-fi movies. Get yourself over to the releases section for your very own free copy.
If that weren't enough, Unicide has also put together an unmissable mix of all his favourite MySpace pals. There is some astonishingly good electronic music on there and it will be hitting the SND podcast in just a few weeks.

Audio Dependent has recorded a fantastic live set to make up the third part of the SND podcast series. The second SND podcast has finally been uploaded, so much for fortnightly updates but we tried our best. There's also a chance to win 3 exclusive tracks from forthcoming SND releases.
The new podcast tracklist is missing 3 tracks, basically because we can't figure out what they are, but we do know that they're freely available from other netlabels somewhere on the internet (possibly even labels on our own links page).
If you can name any of these mystery tracks, let us know and we'll say thanks by sending you 3 exclusive tracks by SND artists.

somethingnondescript is a netlabel based in and around London that provides a platform for eclectic electronic music.
It is a non-commercial environment where users can discover new artists and new styles of music by means of digital releases that are available as free downloads.
With an understanding that producers and consumers of electronic music are no longer two separate entities, SND aims to create a free exchange of ideas across a dynamic and productive musical community.
